Site Summary

For those of us who began the New Year with the first new moon sighted after the spring equinox, there will be a Feast of Tabernacles site in Vian, OK at Tenkiller State Park.

Tenkiller State Park is situated on a large crystal-clear lake. The water is so clear that scuba and snorkeling are very popular in this area. The park offers tranquil hiking trails, a handicap accessable trail with a beautiful view of the lake, and a nature center.

When not enjoying the quiet tranquility of nature, you’ll be free to join the worship services or special activities. Last year’s Feast site (also hosted by the Church of God, Omaha) featured Sabbath school lessons most mornings for the different age groups, a games day for the kids, a Bible trivia challenge for the kids and adults, a fun show, two picnics in the park, three catered meals, one potluck, one ice cream and cobbler social, a bonfire, 16 special music presentations, 16 live messages including 8 bible studies (3 impromptu), a hymn-a-long, meet and greet get together, a pizza party, and a pancake breakfast. If you like to laugh and fellowship about God’s word among brethren, chances are you will enjoy this site! If your children enjoy spontaneous home-made fun with other children of all ages then they will enjoy this site too.

Location of Services

Expect essentially the traditional format of the Churches of God with a Sabbath school for the kids, songs, and sermons or bible studies each day.

The meeting room is within walking distance of all accommodations and will be available all day for feast fellowship.
