Feast of Tabernacles 2012
October 1 - October 8, 2012
Site Summary
Come see just how soothing to the spirit a Feast site can be. After a
year of struggling with the hustle and bustle of the world,
wouldn’t it
be nice to just relax in a peaceful setting overlooking the Guadalupe
River?
Come enjoy the company of God’s people, hear encouraging messages and learn more of God’s plan for His children. You will find a warm welcome to the Feast of Tabernacles 2012 at River Valley Resort, Sattler, Texas, near Canyon Lake.
Start the day with Continental breakfast in the meeting hall before services. We enjoy shared meals, casual fellowship and planned activities, but we leave plenty of leisure time for “chilling out” on your own deck with a river view.
For those who crave outdoor activity, the resort offers
tubing, rafting, kayaking and fishing.
River Valley Resort is located on River Road, named “Best scenic
drive
in Texas,” by USA Today. Follow the winding, tree-shaded drive to
historic Gruene, Texas, where you can shop for antiques and
collectibles, lunch or dine overlooking the river, visit a Texas wine
bar, and two-step around the floor at Gruene Hall, the oldest
continuously operating dance hall in Texas
We may even join with believers from another Feast site for a lake cruise, a fun show and a country/western dance in our meeting hall.
Location of Services
All services are held in the on-site, air-conditioned, handicap
accessible meeting hall overlooking the river. The hall can accommodate
up to 60 guests. Our services are traditional, with
opportunities for questions and discussion afterward. Maps and
directions are posted on River Valley Resort’s web site at www.rioraft.com.
We welcome believers of other Feast-observing congregations for all or
part of the eight-day Festival, so long as they come in the spirit of
peace and reverent observance of the Feasts of the Eternal.
Dress is business attire or dressy casual.
