Site Summary

 
Come and experience the Feast of Tabernacles where southern hospitality and home cooking are in abundance.  We have plenty of time to hug your babies and sit on the front porch and get to know you.  If you are looking for a small intimate site, this is the place for you (80-150 Feastgoers).  Special programs and activities include children's Bible classes, Grandparents day (a day grandparents teach the youth what it was like to be a kid in their day through music, games and crafts.  It is also an opportunity for parents to have time alone.) This is a child friendly feast site.  Children are included in everything we do.  The children's trumpet troop even announces the beginning of services.  Breakfast and a catered lunch will be offered on the first day.  We encourage everyone to gather around the Bar-B-Que pits and fire rings in the evening and hear the laughter echoing through the pine trees.   With the modern attractions of Houston, the historical charm of Montgomery and the natural beauty of Lake Conroe, this is a perfect location for God's people to celebrate the Feast. . 

  

Location of Services

 
Services, traditional as well as interactive, will be held at The Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA.  The peaceful hillside meeting hall is surrounded by pine trees.  The front porch welcomes everyone.  We ask that your dress code is one that pleases God and not man.

 

Accommodations

 
The Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA also has accommodations to fit everyone's needs.  Everyone can stay on the same property as the meeting hall.  It truly gives you the feeling of the world tomorrow when almost everyone you meet on  the property is attending the Feast.  One bedroom hillside cottages ($89.00), one bedroom lakeside ($99.00) two bedroom lakeside cottages ($139.00), RV standard spaces ($30.00)and RV lakeside deluxe spaces ($38.00). 

Mention that you are with the Church Group in order to recieve your discounted price.  Do not use the KOA national web page or phone number when making reservations.  Only call the local KOA number.

Best Western Lake Conroe has also offered a discount @ $79.99 plus tax per night. When you call to reserve rooms please ask for the South Texas Church of God rate.  The Best Western is approximately 5 miles for the meeting hall.

If you desire to serve in any capacity please contact Terry Post as soon as possible.  This Feast site is operated like a family reunion.  The more family members that volunteer to share their talents, the more successful the reunion.

South Texas Church of God hosted the Feast site in Burnet Texas last year.  Almost every one of the 68 who attended the Feast in 2008 raised his hand when asked if he would return next year.  Everyone went home so inspired that more than 100 people have said that they hope to attend the Feast with us this year.  The South Texas Church of God looks forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
