Site Summary

 
Our Feast site is located at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels, TX!  Our services are held each day in the beautiful Brauntex Performing Arts Theater, located in historic downtown New Braunfels.

The "Resort at the Bahn" is comfortably nestled in an abundance of nature! Each guest is surrounded by large trees, tropical flowers, two swimming pools, a hot tub, a children's playground, several BBQ pits, and the peaceful Comal River! Free inner tubes and life jackets are provided by Schlitterbahn for families to enjoy the surrounding river attractions!

In the Schlitterbahn office, you will find several color brochures advertising many of the area attractions! Our Feast site is within walking distance to the beautiful Landa Park, and just a few minutes drive to historically breathtaking town of Gruene, TX!  Also near by is the fascinating Natural Bridge Caverns and the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch! We are also within a 30 minute drive of the capitol city of Austin, TX and beautiful San Antonio, TX! With SO many nearby attractions, we ALWAYS have a few "Free Days" for our Feast-goers to absorb the adventure-filled areas of Central Texas!

Our services are held each day in the beautiful Brauntex Performing Arts Theater, located in historic downtown New Braunfels.

Our typical style of dress ranges formal to dress-casual. We have a traditional style of service. The first day of services will be on October 5th, beginning at 2:30 PM. Services will resume on October 6th at 11:00 AM, and continue each day, thereafter, at 11:00 AM for the rest of the Feast...(October 12th.)

 

Accommodations

 
Our Feast site is located at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels, TX! 

The "Resort at the Bahn" (www.schlitterbahn.com/resorts/pdf/bahn.pdf) offers beautiful condominium-style rooms. There are 1, 2, and 3 bedroom rooms available. Most 1 bedroom rooms have 2 double beds and a pull out couch. The 2 bedrooms usually have a room with 2 double beds, a room with a king sized bed, as well as the pull-out couch!

Each guest room has full kitchen amenities, along with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils available. There are full-size refrigerators and stoves, as well. Grocery stores are just minutes away! Since we book their facilities during their usual off-season, Schlitterbahn offers our Feast-goers EXTREMELY discounted rates! Feast Schedule

 
This Is A Breakdown Of The Events That We Have Planned For Our Feast:

SUNDAY October 4th:
This is when most of us will be arriving at the Feast site. Sundown will start the Holy Day, so you'll want to make sure that you have all of your food & necessities purchased before sundown! We will be having our annual "Arrival Night Fellowship Meal" behind Rooms 425 - 432. As we get closer to the Feast, we will have a sign up sheet on the back table (of our church) so we will know what everyone has committed to bring. (The meal will consist of Soups, Salads, Breads, Desserts, & Drinks.)

MONDAY October 5th:
This is the first day of the Feast! TODAY ONLY: Services will begin at 2:30 PM! (Sundown Ends The Holy Day.) This will be our annual "Get Acquainted Night". Since the motto of Texas is "Friendship", and the theme of this year's Feast is "Happy Fall Y'all"...(which is Texas-themed & Fall-themed)...We will be doing a "Friendship Gift Exchange", (instead of our usual "White Elephant"!) Each FAMILY, (not each PERSON), will bring a WRAPPED gift to exchange. The gifts are to be a LOCALLY-made *(Made in Texas, or specifically made in the New Braunfels area)...OR a HOME-made *(Baked Goods, Jams, Pot Holders, Blankets, Canned Goods, Salsas, Etc.) item. We will give out tickets and will call out random numbers to introduce your family, and choose a wrapped gift!

TUESDAY October 6th:
Today & For the REST OF THE FEAST: Services will begin at 11:00 AM!....This is a FREE DAY!

WEDNESDAY October 7th:
This will be our Annual Auction Night & (NEW This Year)...Church-Wide Texas Chili Dinner! The Chili Dinner will begin at 5:00 PM in the auction house. We will have a sign-up sheet for people to bring the following: Chili, Crackers, Corn Chips, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, & Drinks. The Annual Auction will begin at 6:00 PM. The theme of the Feast is also the theme of the Auction...(Happy Fall Y'all!) Ideas for auction items should be focused around Texas-themed items, Fall-themed items, and Baked Goods! (All Proceeds Will Benefit The Church & Our Outreach Ministry!)

THURSDAY October 8th:
This will be our annual KIDS DAY!! This year, Kids Day will be held in the auction house. It will consist of KID-oriented PARTY GAMES! **IF YOUR CHILD WOULD LIKE TO, they can dress up as either a cowboy or cowgirl...OR like someone from their favorite TEXAS sports team! *(The Texas Rangers, The Dallas Mavericks, The Dallas Cowboys, The Houston Texans, The Dallas Stars, Etc.)...Times & Activities to be announced later. (If you have no children or if your children choose not to attend, then this is another FREE DAY for you!)

FRIDAY October 9th:
This is a FREE DAY! *Sundown will begin the weekly sabbath, so be sure you have all of your food & necessities purchased before sundown!

SATURDAY October 10th:
(Sundown Ends The Weekly Sabbath.) This will be our "Poolside Family Fun Night"! It will be held at the Gator Bowl Activity Pool, near the Children's Playground. We will be having a "Texas-Style Cook-Out & Fellowship"! This will be a "BRING YOUR OWN" kind of meal...Meaning you will need to bring your own: Meat, Buns, Potato Salad, Beans, Chips, Fixins' & Condiments, Etc.! (If you would like to go together on the meal with another family, that will be entirely up to YOU to plan!) There are grills throughout the Resort at the Bahn, or you can bring your own small grill to use. This night is to be for food, friends, family, fun, and fellowship! It will be focused around the "Cool" Pool & Playground area!

SUNDAY October 11th:
This is a FREE DAY! (Sundown Will Begin The Holy Day...The Last Great Day of The Feast of Tabernacles.)

MONDAY October 12th:
This is The Last Great Day...(Sundown Ends The Holy Day)...God Be With You Till' We Meet Again!
